Osborn Street Interior
Typical of its era, this 1870s home was afflicted with small rooms. Also typical were the additions and DIY renovations of previous owners. The long-term goal was to undo as much of the past work as possible and reveal some of the original features and character, while selectively opening up spaces to accommodate a modern lifestyle. An expanded kitchen now opens to a large but cozy living room, built-in cabinetry, lots of new large windows with views of the city sky line and Wissahickon park, and exposed interior stone walls. We also updated the HVAC, and added a mudroom, bedroom, and a five-piece bathroom.
